Contractubex is prescribed for the treatment of old and new scars resulting from surgery, injury, burns, or acne. It contains ingredients that reduce inflammation, soften scar tissue, and promote regeneration of the skin, improving the overall appearance of scars over time.
Apply a thin layer of Contractubex gel to the clean, dry scar 2–3 times daily or as directed by your healthcare provider. Gently massage the gel into the scar until absorbed. Wash hands before and after application.
Avoid using the gel on infected or open wounds. Inform your doctor if you have sensitive skin or experience irritation. Discontinue use if severe redness, itching, or swelling occurs.
Do not use Contractubex if allergic to onion extract, heparin, allantoin, or any component of the gel.
Common side effects may include mild redness, itching, or skin irritation at the application site. Severe allergic reactions are rare but require immediate medical attention.
Topical use has minimal systemic interactions. Avoid applying other topical medications to the same area unless approved by a healthcare provider.
If a dose is missed, apply the gel as soon as you remember and continue with the regular schedule.
Overdose is unlikely with topical application. Excessive use may cause temporary skin irritation.
Store Contractubex at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. Keep the tube tightly closed and out of reach of children.
